Retail Advisory Council with host Jon Lloyd, CBTS Practice Principal

In 2024, CBTS kicked off the CBTS Retail Advisory Council (RAC). The Council is dedicated to fostering a community of forward-thinking technology leaders with a mission to facilitate strategic conversations about industry best practices, challenges, and opportunities that are unique to leadership roles within the retail sector.

The council boasts a diverse membership of influential thought leaders and decision makers across the retail landscape, including those from convenience stores, specialty retailers, and the restaurant and dining sectors.

The RAC serves as a dynamic platform for exchanging industry insights, identifying emerging trends, and addressing the pressing challenges that retail organizations encounter. The council actively explores topics such as retail-optimized networks, digital transformation, in-store technologies, generative AI, and the synergy between operations and IT with conversations led by CBTS Practice Principal Jon Lloyd, who will host each council meeting.

“We’re seeing explosive technology growth in the retail sector,” Jon said. “This growth is leading to unprecedented opportunities for retail organizations but also unprecedented challenges. Keeping sensitive customer data secure in a rapidly evolving threat landscape, maintaining changing compliance standards, and reaching customers through omni-channel communications solutions are just some of the challenges retailers face day-to-day. I’m excited to offer CBTS expertise in serving retailers to discuss holistic solutions with our members and the folks looking to them for inspiration and leadership.”
